CTR Impact on Google Rankings

As explained by Josh in the video below we can see Google is now tracking and using (more aggressively than ever) this data – CTR, known as Click Through Rate. This is the rate at which a search (keyword) triggers your webpage and the end user chooses to click on your result versus the competitors (PPC and organic listings). The logical rationale is that a higher ctr means a more relevant user experience, which is then verified by average time spent on page, number of pageviews, bounce rate, links and social signals
